WIWT + Review of Frank & Oak blazer
Frank & Oak, Brooks Bros, The Knottery, Dockers
And now for the review. If you’re tall, say over 6’, I would suggest reading Graeme’s review first as I’m only 5’10” and a 36. My blazer just came in yesterday, and for the $50 I spent on it, I’m more than happy. The length of the sleeves for me is bang on, but be warned, they are functioning cuffs. The shoulders are also bang on, albeit a little too structured, and they sometimes seem to lay funny, but that could be from the shipping in a shoe box. The arm holes, something I was worried about, are totally fine, not massive as they appear on the website photos. There are nice details such as the lining, pic stitching on the lapels, pockets, and lining as well. It’s machine pic stitching, but it’s still a nice touch. The fabric is also quite nice, the colour is a beautiful green, and it’s a very very soft wool. The one and only thing that could be fixed is the length in the torso. Although not unwearably short for me, it would be for anyone else.
The verdict: If you’re not an orangutan, then it’s worth every penny of the $50 price. The fabric is great, the fit is pretty great, and the price point can’t be beat. I’d give it a thumbs up, and if their blazers fit this well, I’m thinking the rest of their products should be pretty bang on as well. Stay tuned for a review of whatever I order next month.
